I really like this solar light! It has a good size and gives my patio a nice amount of light. What I like the most is that it comes with everything you need to install it, whether you want to mount it on a wall, a post, or another spot in your yard. It’s easy to set up and very convenient for outdoor use.
I needed some type of light for my dark corner. Lots of coyotes and people like to post up. Build quality of light and hardware are par. Took less than 5 minutes to mount to a 10’ pole. The light output is great! It does a very good job of illuminating a large area. The included remote has various options. I chose 100% light output with sensors one combo where it stays on all night at 10% and lights up to 100% when motion is detected. The motions sensor could be a bit better as it has a very narrow field of view where you need to be almost under the light for the sensor to initiate 100% output. Other than that the light does what it is supposed to do.
PROS:- Bright light with no electrical cost- Mounts to flat surface or poleCONS:- Open areas on top that will collect dust and debris- No screws for mounting to wood surface- Batteries not included for remoteUnfortunately, the pole I had planned to mount this to apparently exceeded the maximum 4" diameter. The included bolts were long enough, but the spacing between the holes on the brackets was slightly less than the diameter of the pole.I temporarily mounted it to a smaller diameter pole in a less ideal location. To make installation easier, I placed the mount on the pole first and then attached the light afterward. It occurred to me at that point that the two small screws used to secure the light to the bracket arm would be lost if I dropped either one onto the ground.Mounting the arm on the pole was accomplished quickly using a 9/16" socket with an impact driver. I had a crescent wrench on hand to hold the nut in position while tightening, but it turned out initially holding the nut with my fingers turned out to be sufficient.TIP: If you opt to install the light after mounting the arm, consider piercing each screw through a strip of paper (preferably brightly colored), so that if the screw is dropped, it can be easily located. Just before the screw is fully secured, tear the paper away. One aspect of this light I don't like is that there is a small area at the end where it attaches to the arm that is open "boxes" where debris such as dust, pollen, etc. could collect. Thankfully, this area is small and it also incorporates drain holes so that water should not accumulate.Do not forget to turn on the power switch on the fixture itself before mounting. I also suggest testing the function of the desired setting in a dark room or by flipping the light over so the solar panel is covered prior to mounting. No batteries are included with the remote, so you will need a pair of AAA batteries on hand.I plan to move this to a more desirable location later, but that require attaching it to a large diameter wood pole that will use the same method as if attached to a flat surface. Unfortunately, there are no large wood screws (lag screws) included. It appears 3/8" diameter will be required.Light output is good. I cannot give a fair evaluation yet of the battery life of the light, however, as the current (temporary) mounting location is shaded a good amount of the day.
Very nice light. I'm trying soler lights all around my house and this one rates in the top 10. It's a large light and very sturdy. Built well. I thought it might product a little more light due to how many LED's are in it, but it's fine.As you can see, I'm using it for 2 reasons. 1. When the dogs walk outside, it lights up the deck are to walk and 2 I have it above the grill so when cooking at night you can see what your cooking and whats great is as long as your moving, the light stays on and it does light the entire are. Will it light an entire back yard, no, but it will light the deck and a good size are.For the cost, it's a great light.
This solar street light is a great option for outdoor spaces. It provides bright LED lighting, is easy to install, and the solar charging feature is very convenient. I like that it helps illuminate the area without needing to connect it to electricity. Overall, a practical and useful light for the outdoors
Not as bright as i had hoped but since i got it on sale it was worth what i paid. It seems sturdy but i dont like the remote control feature.
Works good and it brighter than my old one
It is good and really bright and this light is commercial size and charge during day sun and lighting up all night and easy to install on pole easy
Does not stay on all night we’re not charge up all the way to the full bars on the light only charges one and a half bars and is not bright enough to be 1000 watts
Easy install. Works great. I have it facing my back yard. It does a great job detering wild life from coming on to my back deck at night.
I recieved two , one works one doesn’t, neither remote works. I checked what to do to get it to work. Checked website said not a trusted website. The one that works bright but still can’t get remote to work. Checked trouble shooting, again that says tear apart, which means you void warranty.
The light seems to work well When put in an area that receives up to 6 to 8 hours plus in a day. If it does not get that much Sun, it will not hold up overnight using the dim to bright function with motion. The battery life seems to be the same as others in the category, and durability and longevity are subjective and would take time to witness. That being said, for a plastic enclosure and 3D surface of LED lights, it does put out a decent amount of light for something over a door or a garage perhaps like mine. I think the price is okay and competitive for this particular category. It's very easy to install, even using the same bracket as many other lights.
I bought the large 6000K rectangular solar light. I've had it for three months now in FL conditions and it's held up extremely well. It has held up well in severe storms and over 100F+ days. After unboxing, it first took 72 hours to get a full charge but now it's at optimum power. I use my light over on the public street parking in front of my house. It gets about 12-14 hours of direct sunlight on average.I only use the AUTO setting––meaning lights automatically turn on from dawn until dusk. At the bright setting 25%, it lasts the entire night. At 50%, it last until 5AM. I personally don't go above 50% brightness because I find it WAY too blinding in a close public setting like my street parking. The kit comes the remote, instructions, and both a pole and wall mount. The instructions are straightforward but multi-step so read carefully.
The OKPRO 168 LED solar street light is an impressive outdoor lighting solution that combines brightness, durability, and energy efficiency. With 168 high-brightness LEDs, it enhances light efficiency by 30% while reducing energy consumption by 50%, making it both powerful and eco-friendly. The A-grade polycrystalline solar panels boast a high photoelectric conversion rate of up to 25%, ensuring quick charging even under low sunlight conditions. Its built-in 2400mAh battery provides long-lasting illumination, and the dusk-to-dawn feature offers hassle-free operation. The IP66 waterproof rating ensures it withstands various weather conditions, and the 180° adjustable bracket allows for optimal sunlight capture. I'm looking forward to installing it in my yard to enhance security and visibility throughout the night.
There are three modes to this light, From dusk to dawn it is always on. You can choose the brightness but it's always going to be on. I would have liked to have had one more option and that is to have it off until someone comes near then it goes to 100%. With that being said, in some instances, it's nice to have a light on all the time and then if someone passes by it goes to 100%. It's a deterrent. What I don't know yet is how long this light-on mode will last with the battery, I've already had problems with other ones petering out long before the sun comes up. So far this is very good.
The Solar Light Saga: A True Illuminating TaleI was skeptical at first. Could this 168-LED solar street light really deliver the "8 Sides of Glory" it promised? Spoiler: It absolutely did. Now my backyard is less "dimly lit dog yard" and more "daylight disco, but for squirrels."The motion sensor? Oh, it's attentive—too attentive. It could detect motion from a ninja squirrel practicing karate at 3 AM. But when I walk up to it, it’s like, “Eh, human, I’ve seen you before.” The light blasts at full power, as if to say, “Welcome to the sun, pal!”Installation was advertised as simple: “Two screws and done.” Turns out, it's true! No wiring, no complexity—just me, my screwdriver, and my stubborn determination to prove my DIY skills to the neighbor watching from his porch. As for the 360-degree octagonal design, I must admit, it shines in every direction, like a diva on a Broadway stage. It doesn’t just light up spaces—it commands them. My yard went from "a cozy darkness" to "we see EVERYTHING now." And let’s talk about battery life—it lasts longer than my New Year's resolutions ever did.The IP66 waterproofing? A masterpiece. It survived torrential rain, hail, and one particularly tragic spilled soda during its celebration party. This light laughed in the face of adversity—literally, it was still glowing. But here’s the real kicker: My dog. He has figured out how to turn the motion sensor on and off by doing laps. It’s now his favorite toy. The neighbors think I’m hosting a midnight light show. (Tickets are free, bring snacks.)In conclusion, this isn’t just a solar light—this is entertainment. It’s functional, fun, and occasionally overzealous. Would recommend if you're looking to flood your yard with light.
I am very impressed with this light. It is pretty bright and does a great job to illuminate the dog yard at night, but it isn't "street light" bright. The solar panel is fixed to the top of the light so you are somewhat limited on where you mount it. It works best if mounted higher, angled towards the sun, and not in shadows of buildings or trees. I've only had it about a week, but so far it is performing very well in this rainy Pacific Northwest. March has definitely come in like a lion, with rain, hail, and wind, and this light hasn't skipped a beat. The IP66 waterproof rating is no joke. I set it outside a few hours under the afternoon overcast sky for the initial charge and that night it was on its default setting of 40% dim and 100% bright on motion. The charge lasted all night. I decided that I didn't need the dim light all night so now have it set to no light until it detects motion then on 100% bright. You'll need the remote to adjust the modes, but it doesn't have a very long range. It is infrared so you'll need to be in direct line-of-site.I bought one of these and was so impressed, I got two more. The motion detection works really well and activates when the dog goes out but thankfully seems immune to blowing leaves and such. In this mode I think the battery will last until we finally see the sun again this Spring. I will mention that this light is all plastic but once the mount is tightened into its final position it isn't going to move. Are there brighter lights available? Of course, but you will be hard pressed to find a better value. As long as you have an appropriate mounting location you won't go wrong with this light. I have it mounted to a fence for the dog yard and up at the peak of my shed.
I recently purchased the Solar Lights Outdoor - Super Bright Solar Street Lights with Motion Sensor and Remote Control, and I have to say, I am incredibly impressed with its performance! Here’s a breakdown of why I think this light is an excellent choice:1. Brightness & Light Output: The light is unbelievably bright, especially considering it's powered by solar energy! It provides a wide, intense light that covers a large area, making it perfect for illuminating driveways, yards, pathways, and parking lots. The LED bulbs deliver a crisp, clear light, providing great visibility at night, and the wide-angle design ensures a broad coverage area.2. Motion Sensor Feature: The motion sensor works like a charm. It quickly detects movement, turning on the light when someone approaches and automatically turning off once the area is clear. This feature is not only energy-efficient but also makes the light perfect for security purposes—whether you're using it for your home or business.3. Remote Control: Having a remote control is a convenient bonus! I can easily turn the light on and off, adjust the brightness, and switch between settings from a distance, without needing to climb up and manually adjust the fixture. This is especially useful when the light is installed high up, like on a pole or a wall.4. Durability and Weather Resistance: With an IP67 waterproof rating, this light is built to withstand tough outdoor conditions. It’s made to resist rain, snow, and even extreme temperatures, ensuring that it functions reliably year-round. I’ve already had a few heavy rainstorms, and the light has continued to perform without any issues. The build quality feels sturdy and long-lasting.5. Easy Installation: The installation was straightforward, and I appreciated how versatile the mounting options were. It can be easily mounted on a wall, pole, or any flat surface. The instructions were clear, and I had it set up in no time.6. Solar Power Efficiency: The solar panel is highly efficient at converting sunlight, and it charges the light even on cloudy days. It’s great to know that I’m reducing my electricity bill while being eco-friendly by using solar power. Plus, the fact that it’s a dusk-to-dawn light means it automatically turns on as the sun sets and off at sunrise without any hassle.Final Thoughts: Overall, I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. It’s a well-made, super bright, and highly functional outdoor lighting solution that enhances both security and convenience. The motion sensor, remote control, and durability make it an excellent investment for anyone looking to light up their outdoor space while being energy-efficient. Highly recommended!
These are quality lights that meet all of the requirements for outdoor, solar, bright motion lights.Installation is two screws (with wall anchors if needed) into wall. It's fairly large and visible which is fine for what I needed them for.Setup is easy, just turn the light on (physical button) and then use the remote to adjust settings. I've really only used the one setting (Sensor 2) which is motion sensor light on (30 seconds) and then off.The motion detection is very strong. I like that I can be walking about 25ft from the sensor and it will turn on. Also, I like that you can adjust brightness to full or half bright.Overall, very good lights, I actually purchased 3 of them for various places around the exterior of my house.
